I have a Samsung NP-RV 515-A01US. It came with 7. I did a fresh install of windows 10 for free. It runs great. But I had issues so I upgraded the video card drivers. Now all is good. But "Photos" app refuses to open. When I double click on some photos it says "Invalid value for registry".

I created another local account. And I get no registry issues. "Photos" works fine. When in main account it gives the error I mentioned. No matter how many times I reboot.

Why is this? If the registry is actually F***ED up then it should not work no matter what account I use shouldn't it? Why does making a fresh account always clear things up. And how can I fix the main account?

Nope.....
The registry contains files per-user
HKEY_CURRENT_USER
AND
HKEY_USERS
So one user profile could be corrupt while another user profile works perfectly.
