Software Quirks With Win 10

WIn 10 has its problems that I am trying to learn , I have asked questions and record what the fixes are . When I up graded in July and in in November new build things did not turn out as planned really had a mess.
Now that things are running good again I have to ask , should you if it is running turn off or temporary turn off your antivirus software? If so could that be noted BEFORE you make the up date ?

I never turn off my AV and I do not use any of Windows security programs such as defender or their firewall. This has become a real PITA as to get any updates, I have to turn on the Windows Firewall. I have been using AIS for years and Win 10 is not going to make me change.

I personally do not turn off my AV, there's no real need to do so in my opinion.

I use Defender and Windows f/w with Malwarebytes. Never turn them off.
