.....is that they keep coming and the most prolific of Forum contributors is having one today (17th). Happy birthday Trouble (aka Noob Whisperer, Randy) from everyone you've helped or about to help on this Forum.

A recent photo of the old fart enjoying the last of the summer.

Thanks, but please, let's not rush into anything.
I'm comfortably enjoying my last few hours of being 66 as it's only 4:37 P.M. October 16th here in the Central Time Zone of the U.S.
Tomorrow is plenty soon enough for me.

Ah, but in Oz land we're celebrating it now....

Well, I guess it's official. 67 and no way to deny it.
Thanks for the well wishes.
It did start off with two excellent birthday presents.....
A good nights sleep
AND
Waking up from that.
Which..... for both.... I'm grateful. :)

Thanks guys.
Time flies when you're ......
Trying to make this damn computer do what it's suppose to do.
We'll see if MIcrosoft comes through with my birthday present tomorrow.
Windows 10 Fall Creators Update
Which should keep me busy for another year (well 6 months anyway until Redstone 4)

Thanks you guys. Tomorrow I'll officially be 69 and HOLDING.
I didn't get 1810 which I think is suppose to be 1809 "Windows 10 October 2018 Update" but I guess you could call in 1810 if you want to since, who knows when we'll actually see it.
HOWEVER....
I did get
UPDATE 10/16: We have released the Windows 10 October 2018 Update Build 17763.104 (KB4464455) to Windows Insiders in the Slow and Release Preview rings. This Cumulative Update contains the following fixes:

  • We have fixed the issue where the incorrect details were being shown in Task Manager under the “Processes” tab.
  • We fixed an issue where in certain cases IME would not work in the first process of a Microsoft Edge user session.
  • We fixed an issue where in some cases applications would become unresponsive after resuming from Connected Standby.
  • We fixed several issues causing application compatibility problems with 3rd-party antivirus and virtualization products.
  • We fixed several issues with driver compatibility.
ON my windows insider release preview ring machine and not on my main machine running 1809 / 17763.55. So they're still at it.

It may be cheaper for MS and more beneficial to users if MS aborted 1809 and start afresh from ground up using lessons learned from previous failed attempts and so called fixes.

Now that would just be a birthday present TOO FAR.
Although I think they should maybe rethink this whole Windows 10 being the last version of Windows ever, and....
Maybe start tooling up for Windows 2020
