Wi-fi suddenly stopped working

Have recently changed ISP. All going well with wi-fi connection to new router. Suddenly last night it wouldn't connect. I had to plug in ethernet lead to get on line. Troubleshooting told me computer is in airplane mode. What is this and how do I get out of it?

One way is to click on the notifications box on the task bar an d turn it off there. Or go to settings, network and internet, wifi and turn it off there.
