Scenario:
I have Windows 10 activated and running.
When a new build is released, and I want to try it.
First I do a system image back up of Windows 10 to an external hard drive.
Then change the system to accept preview build.
After the new preview build is installed, I do a system image backup of that new build.

Question :
Will the system image backup of the new build overwrite the windows 10 system image backup, or do I have 2 separate backups...... one for Windows 10 and one for the new build ?
Or, do I move the win 10 backup to another location so that it won't get written over ?

the system image backup of the new build will overwrite the windows 10 system image backup. If you want to have 2 separate backups...... one for Windows 10 and one for the new build, you need to move the win 10 backup to another location so that it won't get written over.

By the way, I always use free third party backup software AOMEI Backupper to keep multiple system backups. It supports scheduled incremental backup to only backup changed files.
