An announcement on boot....

Every time I boot my desktop it opens with a full-screen announcement of KB917607. I haven't yet been able to find what triggers this announcement, so that I can eliminate it. Any ideas?

Sorry, sir, that's not a resolution. The problem about which I'm complaining is that that specific page "https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/917607" appears every time I boot - I don't want it - I don't need it - I just want the display of that page to go away.

[Trouble]

Sounds like something is launching your browser at start-up and restoring the previous session (recovering), or somehow that page has been set as the browser home page.
Right click the taskbar and choose taskmanager, look in the Start Up tab and see if you can spot it in the list of items there.
