Is there any simple basic annotation software that lets you write on the screen image and capture the image like a screen shot? Need something that is free for use in schools K-12. The PicPick is over $5,000, the cursor not visible at a distance , and maybe to complex. Just need a JPEG file output. Also need the cursor for the annotation to be visible at a distance.
Any help ?

Welcome to the forums Ron :). There's a built in "snipping" tool which may do some of what you need - just search for "Snipping Tool" on the start menu and give it a try.

It'll allow you to capture a screenshot, draw on it and save it as a JPG. It's not very powerful, but it's free and included with every Windows 10 PC.

Thanks Ian; Look at the snipping tool and it is one option.
Wonder if there is other freeware available for Win 10?
