Aol signs off when copying, and pasting

Since upgrading to Windows10 I am having problems with Aol. (I'm on 9.7). If I'm writing an email, as soon as I highlight a sentence and click cut / copy / paste, Aol disconnects. It signs back on about a minute later. It does the same if I tab. Anyone else have this problem - and better still, a solution ?
