Background of Scanned Document

I have a Canon MP-530 all-in-one printer. Since Canon has not updated their Navigator software to Windows 10, I used the Win 10 program. However, when I scanned a color document, the background was not white. It was a pinkish color... I varied the resolution from 300 to 400 and scanned under BMP, JPEG and PNG. All still showed the colored background. I also used Color Photo and the result was the same. Very frustrating because it looks so unprofessional. Any suggestions?
