Hi guys,

found this forum after searching for a solution for this and couldn't find any.
the problem I'm having is this:
I'm trying to install Windows 10 Pro x64 on a Windows 7 x32 from boot.
Everything is compatible and I doubt it's the CD that has the issue, it after booting from CD I see the Windows 10 logo and after a few moments it tries loading and then shows the BSOD message saying to look up 'bad pool headers'.

Do you have any advice or idea of what could be causing it?

Thanks in advance,
Dor.

Does the system contain the proper architecture to support a 64 bit install?
Some specifics on the system might be helpful.
Manufacturer's Name, Model Name, Model Number, Part Number, etc., etc.
Perhaps someone with a similar system might have a suggestion.

Hey,
Yes it is,
It's a Intel Core 2 Dou E6550 2.33Ghz (link to Intel's) which I checked and seems to be x64 compatible.

Yep... looks good.
Still would be nice to know some additional info on the system.

Do you have any periherals attached to the system? Any USB devices at all, but especially any USB dongles that might support Wireless / Bluetooth (Keyboards, Mice or Network adapters)?
Best approach is generally to keep the hardware to a minimum and as simple as possible. USB Keyboard, USB Mouse and a monitor that's all.

Additionally a bad pool header might indicate some problems with the system memory you might want to try the install with a single stick and see if the helps.
AND
You can always test it with memtest86+ 6 passes.
Grab the latest ISO from here, use ImgBurn to burn it to a CD, boot from it and run the test.

AND OR
It could be an issue with your hard disk. You may want to run the native Check Disk utility
chkdsk C: /R
See if anything shows up there.

Ok thanks I'll look all of these options up and see if it makes any difference. I'll be sure to update as well, could be tomorrow though.
