Blue screen no desk top but have task bar

Has anyone seen a blue screen, no desk top, but have task bar and they work? Windows 10 upgrade from Windows 7 Thanks

Nope haven't seen it...... yet.
However if you have a functioning taskbar, with icons, notification area as well as a start menu, then that would suggest that the explorer shell is working.
Right click the desktop screen and choose ..... View and make sure Show Desktop Icons is selected.
