Trouble Thanks for the heads up. Time to create another image. Currently not experiencing any problems, I'm out of Tylenol so I'm going to defer this biggy until the dust settles.

dunno yet about the Insider version, but the "public" version can defer upgrades and it works. I have a HDD with just the November upgrade and it gets only the CU for that and not the additional "Feature Update (1607)"...

Thanks Trouble but I went back to the Preview Release Insider Program. I got tired of the teasing of Builds by Dona Sakar with the number embedded in pictures and such. She is a Builds teaser. I also got tired of windows opening on their own which happened in 14965 and 14971 and their work around did not work for me.

Well I am playing COD4 Remastered and I was all of the way through the hardened level and I had 29 out of 30 inels found and my game crashed and my PC BSOD'd and when I stared the game again, all of my progress was gone. I had to start it all over again. So I went back to 14971.

14977 was only a mobile build release.

To prepare for this, we are going to pause all PC builds for both the Fast and Slow rings starting this evening (Friday 12/2). Ha, I had problems with my games when I went back so now I am using 14393.479 in the release preview ring. On Tuesday when the real CU comes out I am going back to the RTM release of 14393.XXX I guess it will stay at 14393.479 but who knows. I have removed all but 9 apps as I have no use for them. I am really done with using Preview Builds this time. Tired of The Builds Teaser and all of the BS that goes with it.
I am playing COD 4 remastered and you have to turn off all background apps from running or it crashes. With 14971 it had one button to do that but 14393 does not. The Windows Club has a program that allows the removal of all of the apps and can re install them. The Windows opening on their own was a problem that build 14965-71 should never been released with.

Gents and ladies, I am new to this site and hope that someone can help me to get the new preview onto my Huawei Matebook. I am currently running the latest released version including updates released since July. I signed up for the Insider Preview a long time ago and is running it on my main desktop. Now I want to have it on my Matebook too, and I enrolled almost a week ago. But still nothing to reiceve ("no updates available"). I have signed up for the Fast Ring and rebooted a couple of times during the last week. Any hints to what I can do to make MS send out the new preview to my computer?

...and thank you for the link. I have downloaded the ISO and will do a clean install if I am unable to the my current system updated to FR.

Since you have installed KB3200970, your version should be 14393.447 and not an insider version. The insider version has a watermark in the right bottom corner of the screen with the version.
If you want to reinstall your matebook, I recommend to download the "Media Creation Tool" here:

and create your own installation medium. After install you just have to install the latest cumulative update (KB3200970) and you will be up-to-date (might need the flashplayer update and the servicingstack update as well but these are small updates).

I am not sure why you want to have an experimental version (thats what the Insider version is) when you can get a stable version....

Since insider builds have been put on hold, maybe why he cannot install 14971.

That is a possibility. But why would he replace a stable version (14393.447) with a experimental one??

Hi all, I am here . I, like many of you, like to try out new features and versions. I was an on the Win 10 developer preview since the start and had many bumps along the road. But I enjoyed solving problems and participating in discissions (it was on another forum).

On topic; I managed to install the 14965 version that I got on ISO from MS. I had a ton of driver issues but managed to solve all of them with drivers from Huawei site and an audio driver that I managed to dig out from Windows.old. The stock Intel HD audio refused to install. But now everything seems to work fine and I am ready to help reporting issues in the Feedback Hub.

Thank you all for the support. Now waiting for the 971 (or later to appear)!

Glad you got it solved but dont wait on the 971. It is so buggy, even worse than the 965. It feels like MS went backwards on that on, making it worse instead of better...

965 feels good so far. I have found 2 issues during the last 24 hours. PureVPN kills the wifi totally. Also, Chrome have locked up the UI twice, I do relate that to the wifi issues. Best is that the touchscreen is much more smooth and responsive than after the last MS updates on the stable version.
I have 971 on my desktop and it seems stable enough for daily use. Mostly web and MS office on that one. No obvious bugs so far.

Everything seems to be fine.
Likewise running 77 on my spare Windows 10 phone and it also seems fine.
No doubt there are some undiscovered issues, which may have something to do with third party software such as games and such and possibly even some hardware, but.....
I think, overall, these builds are getting better.
I certainly hope so, as they're still talking about a Spring 2017 GA release (maybe April) for redstone_2 and then it's on to redstone_3 slotted for Fall 2017 (maybe October).
Something to look forward to...... or not.
