I have Windows 8.1 on my desktop and laptop computers.

I own Windows 7 Ultimate and have the disks. It is not installed on any computer.

Is there a way I can get 10 Pro for my laptop?

Hello and welcome to the forum.
I have Windows 8.1 on my desktop and laptop computers.
They both would qualify for the free upgrade as they are.
If it's your goal to sacrifice the Windows 7 Ultimate license instead, then that would have to be installed including SP1 and then the upgrade performed on that.
Your question is a little sparse on the details, so excuse me if I'm misunderstanding completely

The upgrade path is........
Home for Home.
Pro for Pro.
32-bit for 32-bit
64-bit for 64-bit.

Therefore, if your Win 8.1 copies are Home ( non-pro ) versions, then both your desktop and laptop will get Windows 10 Home.

As already suggested to you, if you want the Pro version that bad, install your Win 7 Ultimate to your laptop. Make sure to install SP1 afterwards.

Your laptop with Win 7 Ultimate SP1 will get free upgrade to Windows 10 Pro.

Thanks for the info. I will just do both with the home version. I don't want to wipe out my laptop to put 7 Ultimate on it.
