my CD player keeps popping open ever since windows 10 install, any ideas on how to resolve this?

my CD player keeps popping open ever since windows 10 install, any ideas on how to resolve this?

Randomly, all day long?
At startup?
At shutdown or reboot?
Does it make a difference if their is media in it or not?
Any third party programs, specifically designed to use the optical drive for writing files, or an emulation program that may be claiming a drive letter or otherwise misbehaving?

EDIT: Or a scheduled backup program that is intent on using the optical drive as backup media?

Is the drive itself recognized by the System BIOS?
Do you see the optical drive in Device Manager?
Do you see the optical drive in Disk Management?

Have you check with the computer manufacturer's website and made sure that you have all the proper drivers installed?
