SOLVED ddr2 desktop ram

i was wondering why this these 2gb ddr2 desktop memory will only work on a amd platform and not intel.

on one photo the have what appears as hynix.
i have used hynix brand before in intel boards with intel processors and haven't had any problems, but these mention for amd only and not intel so that is why i question.

i found these instead and bought them at least i know these will work as i have used them with both amd and intel prcoessors and never had any problems.

i believe so.
seems as though i recall seeing that in the bios on several of my motherboards. yeah come to think of it they can.

I think 1.8 volts was more or less default standard for DDR2 as opposed to 1.5 volts for DDR3

yeah just checked in the desktop box which has an intel motherboard and intel processor and ddr2 ram voltage is 1.8v

yeah i like to keep a few sticks of ddr2 memory around and looked on ebay. man they got tons of no brand from china for next to nothing and no telling how long it would toke to ship but most of it say for amd use only and not intel just didn't understand the difference in it. but found 4 sicks of kingston and bought it as i know it will work in what i have.
