HI @phant0m2017,

what version of W10 are you running? and have you tried the update tool?:

Have you tried "Troubleshoot"? in System Settings > Updates & Security > Troubleshoot?.

One thing you can have a look at.
Right click the start orb and , in "Run" type services.msc.
Dcroll down the list and make sure all four of the "Windows Defender" services are running
If you are not familiar with this, double click each service, and there you will see options to start them.
You should also open "Settings - Update and Security", and then click the Windows defender item and make sure everyuthing is up and running in there.

Scan results found no problems ... troubleshooter the internet connection . It says that the remote device or resource won't accept the connection ???

Yes your Proxies and/or LAN settings are wrong.

You article will walk you through that.

If you open a Command Prompt you can type or copy & paste the following to query Windows Defender policies:

Code:
REG QUERY "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows Defender"

Press Enter key

What results do you see?

Thanks for posting what you got.

That Value: DisableAntiSpyware does not belong there. You can add it and set its Data value to 1 to disable Windows Defender, but this is a tweak, and not a normal thing in the Windows environment.

If you can open the Administrator Command Prompt as you did to post your response to me, then type or copy & paste the following:

Code:
REG DELETE "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows Defender" /v DisableAntiSpyware /f

Press Enter key

Type exit then press Enter key

Can you please confirm for me what version of Windows you are using.
  • Right-click on Start and select run
  • In the run dialog type winver then click OK
  • Please let me know what your Version and OS Build is.

OK

Can you do the following then:
  • Click on Start > Cog (Settings icon) > Update & security
  • Next in the left pane click Windows Defender
  • In main window click Open Windows Defender Security Center
  • Now click on Virus & threat protection
  • In the new window that appears click Virus & threat protection settings
  • Are the top three items toggled On?
    • Real-time protection
    • Cloud-based protection
    • Automatic sample submission

OK I've not seen that grey out of Real time protection in a long while.

There are a number of Registry keys that may or may not be affected causing this, so rather than get you to run one command at a time, I'll get you to download the attached file and run that instead.
  • Download the attached REG file: Windows Defender Reset.reg
  • Normally I recommend running a virus scan on downloads, but you may not be able to given your current issue.
  • Right-click on the Windows Defender Reset.reg file and select Merge
    • You will see a series of prompts:
      • Click run, then Yes, then Yes again, and finally OK
  • Now close any open programs and restart computer
When you sign back in, you ought to be able to turn your Defender Real time protection ON!
