Desktop icons

Hello community. I'm wondering why half of my desktop icons are the new " Edge " green & blue swirl in place of the programs icon? Also how can I change them?

Generally the change of icons or the generic icon means the File Association has been changed. The icons on the Desktop can be changed, right-click, Properties, Change icon button. The Tiles and Start menu items don't have that choice.

Maybe what you are seeing?
The Blue and Green icons are links to items which are using the default browser - Edge.

Go to Settings -apps, and select your own favourite browser. I am Ok with Edge, so haven't tried anything else, but I read on the forum that some have problems changing the default from Edge
Alternatively, you can follow Bighorns suggestion.
