Disk Drive Stopped working after Windows 10 Download

After downloading Windows 10 my disk drive has stopped recognising that I have any sort of disc in it, I believe this is because of the Windows 10 download as I was using it up until the point of the upgrade.
Has this happened to anybody else and if so is there any way to fix the problem myself?
