Display 1 and 2 have swapped.

For no explicable reason, my display #1 and my display #2 (a TV) were swapped when I turned on my computer. All my icons were now on my TV and not my monitor. When I ask to identify, my computer monitor is now #2 and the TV is #1. Nothing I do with display settings will fix it although I can make #2 my main display. I have moved all the icons over so it all works fine now - so do I just leave it alone? Why did it they swap? Do I care? I have tried restarting, no difference.
