SOLVED Excel files in compability format?

After upgrading to Windows 10. My excel files are now in comparability format I can't highlight cells and format that was there is gone. I have office 2010 and windows 10 comparability test said I was OK. I went back to Windows 7 I can't operate without my
excel files. Other problem was my antivirus software Vipre 2014 would not run. If these two issues were fixed I would like Windows 10.
