Exclude "file type" from search

I need to find all the files that contain the word "word" in them. When I try to search in File Explorer, I get all the files that are Microsoft Word files. How do I search for matches on only content within the file?

IF you are doing a search in File Explorer.....
When you click the search box it adds an additional tab to your ribbon "Search Tools"

Select Advanced options and choose "File contents"

Select Advanced options and choose "File contents"

That is already checked. It does not perform the search I want. (And anyway it applies to non-indexed locations. My Documents folder is indexed.)
