12:00 P.M. was the magic time local, or 10:00 A.M. Redmond.

Half way through the download. Darned early for Denmark!

A little later. That was quick! This is what I got from it:

Strange......
I ended up with this

AND it wasn't particularly fast either.
Now I will check for the Cumulative Update to bump it to 16299.19

No sweat, Trouble. I had .15 installed a couple of days ago. Nevertheless, I would have thought something round would have been appropriate. 16300, for example.

And with these

So now I spend some time with the update to see if anything is broken before doing a wipe and clean install.

Only that would have been too logical.

My Tile area of the Start Menu looked like it had been hit by a hurricane.
Another reboot fixed it for the most part although there are some tiles missing and my Weather live tile was turned off and I had to turn it back on again.
Everything else seems to be behaving so far.

I think I can recall that I had to fix up that tile area with the .15 update..

Spoke too soon.
It seems to be intermittent as to how the Tiles appear in the Tile area of the Start Menu.
Sometimes fine, other times using what look to be small icons for medium tiles.
Ran the "official" startmenu.diagcab and got this

Tile database is corrupt. "Not fixed"
Looks like I'll be doing that wipe and clean install sooner rather than later.

Bit of a mystery. Admittedly, I only have two tiles in that area, but they are stable (one is the weather)

So far I have noticed a couple of differences and one is the phone. I suppose you are supposed to be able to link an Android or iPhone and switch from the phone to the computer if necessary?

Otherwise, I see some changes in the options scattered throughout. The People button on the Taskbar was a little unexpected.

Trouble FYI
I'm still waiting for the Fall update, but I noticed that one of my tiles changed to a small icon sometime today. Maybe the start menu change is not related to the update. o_O

Changes I found immediately after the painful time consuming update.

System Restore Turned OFF?
No Update Restore point created.
New search feature in settings.
Update History blank, no reference to 1709 Update.
New Manage my history stored in cloud in Settings
Pin Contacts to Task Bar.

I'm sure there's more.

I'm kinda disappointed, I expected some big changes with Edge browser. Can't import favorites, I'll continue to use FF for now.
