I upgraded from Windows 8.1 64-bit to Windows 10 64-bit and MakeMusic Finale 2008 will no longer run even though it worked fine in Xp 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Vista, 7, and 8. It just hangs when I try to open it. I tried reinstalling to no avail. I thought that Windows 10 promised compatibility with older Windows operating systems. I realize there are newer versions of Finale that will work with Windows 10 but why should I have to pay for an upgrade to Finale when it was working fine under a previous Windows 64-bit operating system? Does Microsoft intend to provide a windows 7/8 compatibility mode?
Finale 2008 worked in Windows 7 and 8 but not Windows 10
