FLV Thumbnails in Windows 10

Is there a way that I can get thumbnails for FLV media files in Windows 10? I have a mixture of video formats, but only some of them show thumbnails.

I am using VLC media player to play them, but it just shows the app icon and not the thumbnail.

Had the same problem.
I ended up installing Gom player, VLC, Irfanview,
and 32 & 64 bit codecs from Shark 007
I have no idea which one made all thumbnails visible, including FLV.
I suspect it is the "Shark 007" codecs that helped the most.
