gadget app on windows 10

Hi all. I just upgraded my Toshiba Encore 2 tablet from 8.1 to 10. Everything is fine except for the gadget app I had installed when using 8.1. It still works on 10, but the 2 gadgets I use do not appear on the desktop at start up. The only way I can get them is by right clicking on the desktop and clicking on gadgets. They both appear then along with the app. Anyway to correct this?

It's my understanding that Microsoft did away with desktop gadgets on Windows 10.

Thanks for the link. I had dl the gadget app when I was running 8.1 and when I did the upgrade to 10, the app is still there. It's just that when I boot up, the 2 gadgets I had put on my desktop don't show until I right click on the desktop and click gadgets. Then they appear. Maybe I need to get rid of the gadget app altogether or just live with it the way it is.
