Hard Drive Full?

I backed up my C drive to flash drive, did clean Windows 10 install. Now when copying the backup to C drive I get message that drive is full before copying everything back. How can this be?

1. Are you certain that the only data on the flash drive is your C: drive backup?

2. Was your C: drive compressed before you backed it up?

3. During the clean install did you delete all existing UEFI (or MBR) partitions?

4. During the clean install did you change the system partition size?

What was the size of the backup to the flashdrive, and what is the size of your hard disk?
