A few hours ago, Windows 10 booted up quickly, the task manager was filled and I could get things with the Windows logo at the left--but it took five minutes for any apps to appear on the screen. I had to reboot again (something was frozen), and the same thing happened--except that this time nothing was on the screen except the turquoise-white plain background. Task manager etc all worked well. I got onto Internet, and they suggested I go to File Explorer, find Explorer and start it.
For some reason, that did the trick. But I have a feeling it won't be permanent.
Any suggestions on what could be going wrong? Everything else has worked fine for this first week of Windows 10
Many thanks.
