SOLVED Help please, No sound via HDMI to ASUS Monitor?

My problem is that when I connect my Motherboard to my ASUS VS247HR 23.6 Monitor via HDMI,
I get display/video output fine but no sound through its speakers.

Welcome to the forums .

It looks like your ASUS VS247HR is being detected as an audio playback device ok (and set as default), which makes me think that it's worth checking the monitor first of all to see if there are any problems there.

I took a look at the specs page (https://www.asus.com/uk/Monitors/VS247HR/specifications/) and I can't see any mention of there being any built-in speakers, only a headphone jack. Are you plugging external speakers into the headphone jack?

Try using the NVIDIA HDMI Output (the second one). HDMI sends both audio and video.
