Hi all,

I have a Samsung laptop. It came with Win7 installed, so about a year ago I did the free (downloaded) upgrade to Win10. The computer didn't come with a Win7 install disk.

Recently I have been having some networking issues, namely not being able to make an wired Ethernet connection l did a little checking and found the most likely culprit are missing or corrupted network protocols. The suggested "treatment" is to reinstall them from the "Original Win10" install disk... But without such a disk, I'm stuck.

How can I get such a disk for this type of situation?

Thanks everyone!

Choose Windows 10, the first item in the first drop down (not single language at the bottom)
Next choose your language and your bit version (32 or 64 bit to match your system architecture or in the case of an upgrade, to match your currently installed version of Windows).
That will provide an ISO that will upgrade, repair (or clean install) either or both Windows 10 Pro and Home.
Once you have downloaded the ISO you can use ImgBurn to burn it to a DVD http://imgburn.com/index.php?act=download
OR
Rufus to burn it to a USB ThumbDrive http://rufus.akeo.ie/

On last question, Trouble... Do you have any idea how large of capacity a thumbdrive would need to hold the ISO?

Thanks

I believe the 32 bit ISO will produce installation media that will still fit on a 4 gig ThumbDrive, but
I think the 64 bit ISO will require one that is slightly larger. Personally, I'd go with 8 gigs

Oh... 32 gb is nothing (and is inexpensive)... (I have 64 bit system). I'm glad I don't need to go out and buy a 128gb zip drive.

Thanks again
