Version 1709 (OS Build 16299.309)

I receive quite a few emails that contain links, that for some reason, are not hyper-links.
So, I copy the url and paste it into my browser.

I was wondering if there was an alternate way to handle these non hyper-link urls.

I've seen the same on occasion and unfortunately it's frequently a WYSIWYG [what you see is what you get] situation. It's all in how it was sent, what the sender did. Could also be an error in the copy/paste of the URL/HyperLink, sometimes hard to see a preceding or following space.

In some, not all email programs, Ive noticed that after entering the url, you immediately have to hit the Enter (carriage return) to create the url into a hyperlink so it can be opened within the contex of the email message. Hyperlink generally will show up as a single word or group of words that will usually be marked as underlined, and are frequently blue in color.

If the procedure (Enter) isn't executed then the link will require copying and pasting into your browser.

BTW Hyperlinks that hare known to direct users to illegal material, or known child pornography sites have or will become obsolete to in an attempt to delete child pornography from the www...
Too bad they don't implement the same www, rule for fraudlent spammers and Ransomeware crooks.
