Which model name and number exactly of the Notebook or Desktop or Printer? USB 2 or USB 3 or newer USB-C?

Deskjet 2620. Cordless of course. Not sure about usb.
You mentioned USB in your first post but the "of course" is superfluous as printers have at least 3 ways of connecting to a computer which still has not been mentioned. I would take the message means it's looking for a USB connection or software for installing so that would be the first thing to do, uninstall everything associated with that HP printer, reboot then install again. There will be choices as to how to connect during the install.

I would disable/uninstall the HP Toolbox or at least prevent it from starting every time your PC boots up. Sometimes these "Tools" are simply obsolete

I uninstalled and reinstalled, and the same error continues. All works well, but the message is a pain, and I think updates are not downloading for the printer. Thanks for your help.
