How do I view the HP printer job queue? I used to reach it via Devices and Printers in the Windows 7 Start menu, but Windows 10 is completely different and so far not very helpful

Hello and welcome to the forum.
With your hands on the keyboard
Strike the Windows logo key on your keyboard (bottom left between Ctrl and Alt) and simply begin typing Devices it should appear at the top of the list.
You can then simply strike the Enter key or click it with your mouse.

From there if you'd like you could right click your printer and choose
Create shortcut
That will add a shortcut to your printer to your desktop if you find that more convenient

I have an HP Laser Jet Pro.
To view the print queue go to Settings > Devices > Printers and Scanners, you should see your HP Printer listed. Click on the installed printer, it will open a drop down that shows printer queue and management. You can also right click on "Printers & Scanners" and pin to start menu.
