I sure do like creating macros on my keyboard that I actually use everyday. First one I made is the "degree" symbol (°). The 2nd one I made is for the snipping app bar. I just started using the snipping app and it took some getting use to.

I've not set up keyboard macros for quite some time. I used to have a logitech keyboard with lots of "G" function keys, that I could assign macros too (mostly in games).

Are you using a Logitech keyboard for this too?

The degree symbol and several others are built-in, try Alt+248. Several others may use 4 numbers. They tend to work best when the keyboard has the added ten-key/number pad.

All that article talks about is the alt key code. It doesn't tell/show you use it other then typing in the alt key code when you need it. Which defeats the purpose of the macro. A one key stroke entry. Unless I'm missing something.

I had no idea of the character map and that it gave you the alt key code.
