I'm trying to set English (United Kingdom) as my display language. (At present it is set to English (United States).) I am told that the Language Pack is available, so I click Options, and then Download, under the 'Download Language Pack' heading. The download appears to start - the word Downloading appears, with the progress line and a small blue bar at the LH end - but nothing further happens.

I have tried this repeatedly over several days, but to no avail. Can anyone help?

By any chance, are you using a single-language edition?
Hello Vince.

Thanks for your reply.

I have looked for help on 'single-language edition' and found a suggestion to remove the existing language choice (in my case US English) before trying to install another language option.

This I have done, and the installation now seems to be successful.

Nigel, go into Control Panel--System, and it will tell you the exact version of Windows you are running.
