I have a 6+ years old laptop, used to be Vista Home Premium, presently running Win 8.1 Pro.
It has only 109 GB in C: (See disk mgm't screenshot).
Am I crazy to ask whether I can do dual boot by shrinking C and allocate 40 GB to a new partition for Win 10 TP ?

I am, at this very moment, sitting at a 6 year old laptop (Latitude 6510) with a dual boot Windows x and Windows 8.1.This is a really good workhorse, which I always use for testing new products. I had to get a couple of minor drivers from the DEll site, but Windows X was up and running from initial install. 40 gbs should be OK, if it is not your intention to load too much software.

Dual boot is successful. Win 8.1 Pro and Win 10 TP.
Took only 30 min. Fastest ever in my experience.

Used Win 10 TP 32-bit on my 32-bit laptop.

Personally, I think Microsoft is thinking more like Linux with windows 10, so it can be used with older hardware and actually work and work well. Not sure if this is by design or just coincidence.
