Left 4 Dead 2 doesn't start

Hi, i have windows 10 i know left 4 dead 2 is old game, but i need help please, when i try to start it (on steam) it doesn't start, i click play button and is just saying preparing to start, then dissapear and nothing happen, any error just nothing i tried all these solutions none of them worked : turn off compability mode turn on on every windows (btw now i cant change compability anymore the little box is closed i cant activate it or deactive it ) i tried verify game cache like 8 times , then i tried restart pc, reinstall STEAM, reinstall game, changing steam compability but nothing works :((( on previous windows 7 i didn't have this problem, but when i downloaded this new windows, it doesn't work, so PLEASE HELP :(
