Login Password Corrupt

After downloading something from Mozilla my computer became very sluggish so decided to make a small recovery, which seemed to complete without any problems until I tried to login. It informed me that my password was incorrect and therefor refused any form of entry to my files.

My son had his own space but of course because admin wants my password I cannot get in thru that route either. On search my *.pwl are showing damaged. the back and recovery I use is Dell, why they damaged the files I don't know.

My computer came with windows 8 preloaded and then 8.1 and then 10 all with iso or disc, I was working on the problem of backup because Dell had issue's with the software, however I do not wish to loose a vast collection of files that are important.

How am I going to get back into my files ? or correct the errors on the pwl files.

Unfortunately his account was without Admin rights.

You'll likely need to enable the hidden Admin account to rescue you PC and your profile / account.

Hopefully, if you are patient and cautious you can overcome the issue.
