Randy Sorry but I'm a little confused. Are you talking about the home screen icon in a browser?
Or the Home icon when you click on the search (locally) box or magnify glass icon.
Maybe a screenshot would help us understand what you are looking at, even if the tile is missing.
Are you using a tablet, or a computer in tablet mode or using "Start full screen".
