Mail not opening from start menu.

I have windows 10 and have had no problems to date, but today I clicked on the start menu windows icon, then clicked where it says "Mail" as usual, to open outlook and nothing happens, I tried restarting, and still nothing. I can't seem to find where to open outlook any other way.
Can anyone help me?

I don't know why it disappeared, but I have now installed outlook from office 2016.

A much more robust / full featured email client.
Way better than the native "Mail" Universal App, in my opinion. I've used Office Outlook for years. Not sure what I would replace it with, should the need ever arise but I'm certain it wouldn't be "Mail".
