Malware prevents system reboot and unseen on anti-virus

A few months back I tried to install a Android emulator, but afterwards my Task Manager showed the CPU usage was high on things like ‘system interrupts’ and ‘Antimalware Service Executable’. When I tried to end the latter, a window displays that ’Access is denied’, despite being the administrator. I decided to reset my PC, but it displayed that an error occurred and that it couldn’t reset. Also, a few days afterwards the PC wouldn’t let my keyboard work, despite it working on my PS4. After not using the device for months, I decided to install a antivirus software onto it, but the software couldn’t detect any viruses. TotalAV, with both quick and system scans, reaches a certain percentage and then automatically finishes where it says nothing was found. I’ve bought a new keyboard, and I discovered that it works whilst in the Safe Boot mode, where you can reset the PC, but not afterwards. Another issue found is that a process called ‘remsh’ appeared out of nowhere. I’d like any advice if I can fix this issue myself or if I have to take it somewhere to clean the system. Thanks.

You need to download the free version of Malwarebytes and then run it. Malware is a bit different from viruses. Antivirus programs are good for viruses. But will not always detect malware. If your computer is infected and you did not find anything with the antivirus program then Malwarebytes will find it. If for some reason you can not run it in Windows you can try to run it in safe mode.

The first scan found 17 threats, which were deleted, but the problem still persists. Furthermore, a second scan doesn’t show any threats. And a virus scan doesn’t show anything.

Have you rebooted after running the scans?

remsh.exe is a virus that has a high CPU usage.
I would start in safe mode:
Run Malwarebytes
Run CCleaner
Run JRT by Malwarebytes https://www.malwarebytes.com/junkwareremovaltool/
Run TFC Old Timer Tools http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/files/file/187-tfc-temp-file-cleaner-by-oldtimer/
TFC may be no longer available for downoad, it's worth a try. Malwarebytes recommend to download and run their AdwCeaner. https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/213402-junkware-removal-tool-to-be-discontinued/
https://toolslib.net/downloads/viewdownload/1-adwcleaner/

Reboot your system. Good luck!
