My monitor went to sleep during the upgrade process and I am unable to wake it, so am unable to check upgrade progress. Can I unplug my pc or should I wait and see what happens?

For me the update took around half an hour, I think, and that's with a fairly fast PC with an SSD. So if the monitor won't wake up for up to an hour of installation, then I guess you can only restart your PC and hope for the best :/

I would suggest first attempting to use the
Ctrl + Alt + Delete key combo to see if that produces anything.
I've heard reports of that, helping to reveal waiting screens. Might be worth a try.
If the computer remains unresponsive to both keyboard strikes and mouse movements, after a couple hours, then your only recourse might be a hard reset.
I hope you read this in advance.
