.net framework 3.5 (includes .net 2.0 and 3.0)

after down;loading Windows 10 to my laptop, I now get an alert saying I need this to operate correctly. Ive tried the tutorial thru the control panel but when boxes ticked it doesnt download I get another alert saying cant. please help as all very new to all this

I don't think it actually has to download, what does that box show when you look at Control Panel - Programs and Features - Turn Windows Features On or Off?

What is reporting it needs the earlier .Net installed?

Perhaps you are getting the message if trying to install windows Essentials?
If so, let it download and install. Windows essentials installer will pop up when it is finished.
