Outlook hyperlinks don't work

When I click on a link in an email (Outlook 2010) I get the message 'General failure. The Url was: (the link) The app did not start.'
Help please.

Hello Graham and welcome to the forum.
There have been a few previous discussions regarding this issue on this as well as other forums.

Additionally check and confirm that your Windows 10 installation is current and up to date with all Windows Updates.
Likewise double check your Office Suite or if Outlook is a standalone install make sure that it is up to date as well.
