When I try to open outlook I get the following message:

Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window. The set of folders cannot be opened. File access is denied. You do not have the permission required to access the file. C:\Stephan\Documents\Outlook Files\s******@******.net.pst

I have looked online for the solution, but I get very confused. Could someone walk me step by step through the process of fixing this problem. I am not very tech savy, so the simpler and more descriptive the answer the better. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You need to browse to the .pst file.
C:\Stephan\Documents\Outlook Files\s******@******.net.pst
Then you need to right click it and choose properties.
Then you need to select the security tab from the top
Then you need to inspect the permissions for your account and edit or add as necessary.
