Hi Steven,

Welcome to the Forum.

Could you clarify a few things please:
  • Does your laptop boot to lock screen?
  • When you tap or click lock screen do you now see the Logon page with a password prompt?
  • Assuming you can see your logon prompt, do you see anything at all as you type your password?
  • Assuming you see something as you type, have you checked in bottom right corner to make sure the Language indicated is the one you normally use? If it is not, your keyboard layout may be different - meaning what you are typing may not actually be the letters and numbers you think you are typing.
  • What version of Windows 10 are you using? eg. Version 1703 (OS Build 15063.413)
  • How many User Accounts do you have setup on the laptop?
