permanent disable od internal key pad

I am 84 & need to disable/deactivate the internal key pad so as to continually change what key strokes I attempt to strike. When I do deactivate, two things happen. First it allows me to rest my palms on the surface. Secondly, after disabling and finish,I turn off the PC. But when I start up the PC, I am forced to disable the key pad AGAIN!! HOW DO I KEEP THE CHANGE PERMANENT

I understand your frustration! Unfortunately, this is one of those settings that Windows 10 can't seem to remember. You have to remember to disable the touch pad each time you restart your PC.
