Since 1998 I've been using Microsoft Picture It 99 on various OS, windows 98, ME, XP, and even on Windows 7. It's an unique photo editing program, perfect for making collages, posters, flyers and I use it very often. I tried many alternatives, but none matches my needs.
Now I have upgraded to Windows 10 and Picture it doesn't work anymore.
It needs compatibility mode to even start up. But opening files is a problem, it tries to show thumbnails of the contents of a folder, but hangs after about 10 thumbnails. This happens in compatibility mode 98/ME.
In compatibility mode XP it can actually import some files, but it gives an error message that some used fonts are not available and will be replaced. So far that's something I can be ok with, but when editing the program freezes. Deleting parts in thd picture is ok, adding or exiting not.

Does anyone have a solution? I really need this program. Maybe I should roll back to Windows 7.. but only if there is no alternative solution.
Anyone?
