We keep getting posts from people who can't get into 10. Before it's too late...

1) Get an unformatted, empty CD or DVD and put it into your optical drive.

2) Go to Control Panel

3) Find "Backup and Restore (Windows 7)"

4) Follow their very simple directions and make yourself a recovery disk.

Simple really if an upgrade fails. Clean install and activate the current Window's version and then upgrade if necessary. So many people think an upgrade should just happen, no matter what condition their current OS is in. Sometimes your current OS will need repairing (or better yet reinstalled) before it will upgrade.
