From within Settings click on Devices to bring up the devices settings. First, check to see of your LaserJet 1300 is in the list of installed printer. If it is, you will see a on/off switch for a setting called "Let Windows Manage My Default Printer" On my PC the switch is turned off. Next scroll down a bit on that same page and under Related Settings click on the blue link for Devices and Printers. On this page you will see the various devices that are installed and if your printer is installed there will be an Icon for it as well. At this point your printer should have a green circle with a check mark to indicate that this device is the default device for this PC. If the device with a check box is not your printer then right click on the printer and make that device the default. Hope this helps. [/QUOTE]
