Problems with Bluetooth

Greetings,
I'm having trouble with my Bluetooth connection involving a pair of W900 Sony wireless headphones. My Logitech mouse is wireless, and works just fine. The headphones pair, and Windows says they're connected but no sound is coming forth. I've been through the Windows troubleshooting process multiple times, tried removing/re-pairing multiple times, all to no avail. Any ideas? process of elimination to determine the problem?

There's been lots of posts on various forums but I've not seen a surefire fix for the issue. All I use Bluetooth for is on a few Notebooks and mice.
